Things to Do
We will have many activities at the reception (cribbage tournament, card games, board games, pickleball, bean bag toss, ping pong, and s'mores), but there is a whole city full of activies to do as well! Go to our google map for the location of each place linked below (purple for things to do, green for food, and blue for drinks)!
The Delta by Marriot has a number of amenities including a salt water pool and the 400 Tavern restaurant on site. Don't forget to add your breakfast on Sunday to Chase and Lexi's tab!
While the area immediately surrounding the hotel is a bit industrious, there are neighborhoods a short drive (or easy bus ride) away with lots to offer!
Come explore Chexi's own neighborhood! Less than 10 minutes from the hotel and full of green space, you can see where Chase and Lexi call home. Two large parks, Langford Park and College Park, provide playgrounds, tennis courts, and space to wander. Along Como Ave. you'll find some of Chexi's favorite spots for food and fun. Lanna Thai holds a special place in our hearts with amazing northern Thai food and the local owner, Apple, knowing us by name (or at least by order 😅)! Finnish Bistro is a neighborhood staple with tasty food and hosts local amateur artists most nights. Have fun finding odd international treats and chatting with Glen at the deli counter (tell him we say hi!) in Tim and Tom's Speedy Market (affectionately called TTs by Chase and Lexi). Or, take a break and have a quiet moment in the historic Saint Anthony Park Public Library. Just make sure not to confuse this neighborhood with the similarly named Saint Anthony Main or Saint Anthony Village neighborhoods!
The Northeast neighborhood is full of great restaurants, quirky stores, and cute coffee shops. Drive less than 10 minutes from the hotel to discover an alleyway with Indeed Brewing, Centro Tacos, and Earl Giles restaurant and distillery. Or check out the beloved Bauhaus (reopening this August) and one of Lexi's favorite coffee shops, Dogwood Coffee, next door!
There is plenty more to see throughout the city! Visit the free Minneapolis Institute of Art, walk around the chain of lakes, or stop by one of the over 100 public libraries in the metro area for something fun and free to do in the cities. If you've got some pocket money, you can get your game on at the family-friendly Trapped Puzzle Rooms or Smash Park. You can even try your luck at a claw arcade. For those looking to learn more about the city, there is the Mill City Museum, the American Swedish Insitute, the James J. Hill House, and the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum. We can't wait to hear all about your adventures in the Twin Cities!
